you're my papa

Words cannot explain
how much you mean to me
nothing could ever compare
or even ever be

you're my papa, my own and only
you're my leaning post
although I love my family
you're the one I love most

even though you may be leaving
you'll still be in my heart
you'll always be real close
even though we're far apart

while you're in heaven, please watch over me
and help me as I grow
you have taught me so much
but there is still so much more to know

I'm not going to say good-bye
or that I can't go on
I'll say I love you, and see you later
even though you're gone

I love you papa, more than you'll ever know
I know you'll be in heaven as a shining star
no matter how far away you seem
heaven is never too far

The Storm Will Pass

As the storm passes by ...
When the world seems more than you can bear,
And it seems that no one seems to care,
When everything you do seems wrong,
And the stormy weather lasts too long.

Remember that you have a friend,
I'll hear the SOS you send,
Just open up and let me know,
What I can do to ease your woe.

For tho I might have problems too,
You know I'll always stand by you,
As you have stood by me, my friend,
We'll help each other to the end.

When friends like us refuse to part,
But help each other from the heart,
If just by knowing someone's there,
Our life is easier to bear.

So reach-out if the clouds turn black,
I'll catch the wind and turn them back,
Just watch the sky for our rainbow,
The storm will end real soon, I know.

AML and MDS (not just an "unknown bone disease")

The oh so ominous, unknown and difficult factor of supposedly being able to treat Papa's AML was this so called "unknown bone disease" of which actually had and has a name, it's called (MDS) myelodysplastic syndrome.  Turns out this isn't that much of an uncommon factor of AML AND survival of AML IS VERY POSSIBLE even with this "unknown bone disease" present.  Didn't know that earlier, never was told...

Here's just a few more untold facts regarding AML and MDS...

Walk the Talk, Actively Participate in the Cure

I've literally copied/pasted this from a dear little friend's, Natasha Wilson's, CarePage...because it's that important and that good...we can learn big things from little people...isn't it time to walk the talk?

So...Please make a difference, give back, every $1 donation adds up, this isn't something to think through, it's an easy "I have to do" ~ join and donate towards the Wilson's Fundraising Team...

Walk with me!

So, I have recently decided to start and give back to all that have been giving to Natasha through this time. There is a walk to help raise money for the Children's Leukemia foundation of Michigan in Grand Haven. I have included all the information below. So, help by donating and come walk with the Wilson's!

The Walk at Grand Haven
The Walk- Grand Haven State Park
Grand Haven, MI
to benefit Children's Leukemia Foundation of Michigan will take place on Saturday, May 16th, 2009.

Lace Up, Grab A Friend It’s Time For A Walk

We will all walk together for the thousands of Michigan families battling the challenges of leukemia, lymphoma, and other blood related disorders. Support The Walk at Grand Haven and register today by scrolling down and clicking on the link at the bottom of this page.

Your Team Can Do Wonders

Walk as an individual or team up with four or more friends or family members (I have created a team: Wilson’s). When you get together with friends and walk, you will team up against this disease and help Children's Leukemia Foundation of Michigan provide information, financial assistance and emotional support to Michigan families. Start recruiting today!

Helping You In Your Fundraising Efforts

We will help you raise pledges with our Personal Fundraising Pages. By creating a Fundraising Page, you can quickly and easily tell others about your participation and collect donations to your fundraising efforts on-line. Create either a personal or team fundraising page and forward an email link to your supporters to donate to your efforts easily by using a credit card at a secure site on-line. Once you have registered for the walk, click on the link to create your personal fundraising page below.

Every little bit helps

There are no "minimum pledge requirements" to participate, but we encourage every walker to raise a minimum of $100. Every participant who does raise $100 will receive a 2009, The Walk T-shirt. Please join us and walk, so no family has to face their battle alone.
